For those clients who use our flagship product, Search Magic, you may want to read on to learn more about one of the Wizards who was instrumental in the software’s development.
Mike Bostone describes his role at Your Store Wizards rather succinctly, “I write code to make eCommerce stores perform better.” Whether it’s building a website, web application, or working on enhancements to existing products, coding is a part of Mike’s DNA.
A member of our team since 2013, Mike spends most of his day juggling many tasks. On a recent afternoon, he was working on migrating a rather large eCommerce store to a new platform – no easy task, especially when the migration includes a redesign and a tight deadline.
In between waiting for answers from the designer and uploading the latest round of code changes, Mike took a moment to tweak one of our internal software programs used by our support and billing team.
This multi-tasking and juggling of projects is one thing that makes the job challenging at times. But Mike knows those challenges come with a feeling of accomplishment. “Seeing a project I’ve worked hard on come together successfully, that’s the most rewarding part of the job.”
“Building Search Magic was challenging in a positive way,” Mike recalls. “We have an actual app that the customer sees, and the editor which we use on the backend. I had to put myself in the shoes of both a customer and a developer. It’s safe to say I learned a few new things along the way!”
When asked what he likes most about working at Your Store Wizards, there wasn’t much hesitation – “the people, flexibility, and diversity of projects.”
