If you've ever needed a listing of your item IDs or section IDs from your site, these templates are for you. These would primarily be used for doing a database upload of the IDs in order to convert items from one type or template to another.

These templates have been tested but there is no guarantee that some items you may expect may not show, or extra items may be exported, based on the actual data in your store.

To install and use the templates:

First, save the appropriate file from below and upload them with the template upload program.

Now, simply create a new item (using the advanced editor just go to the contents page and click new) and give it an ID of "yst-item-id-export" or "yst-section-id-export" (without the quotes) and set the template name to "yst-item-id-export" or "yst-section-id-export".

Now you can go to the page (either in the editor in the live site). Copy the entire contents of the page (Ctrl-A will highlight it all in Explorer and then Ctrl-C to copy). Open any text editor (like Notepad), and press Ctrl-V to paste. In order to make sure it uploads well, make sure to put one extra carriage return at the end of the listing. Then save the file and you can now open it in Excel or upload it to your store as is. When opening in excel just tell it that the file is a delimited file with commas as the delimiter and double quotes " as the text qualifier.

* For any database upload you should test with one item first and always use the ADD button (unless you know otherwise).

To download the template simply right click on the following link and use the "Save as" option to save them to a folder
